Fairlop Waters Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC) – Overflow Car Park

The following is an Open Letter sent by Chris Gannaway Borough Rep for London Wildlife Trust to Matthew Essex of London Borough of Redbridge Council.

The land used is designated as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC) in the local development plan.

Dear Matthew,

I have been back through the email threads on this and note that the one thing that has not been addressed by yourself is my first email below relating to the SINC status of the land in question, is this a oversight on your planning advisors?

LP39 1 (c)

Or is it a case that the SINC status of the site carries no weight whats so ever in the eyes of Redbridge planners? i would refer you to the current local plan and guidance in the current London plan.

We do not believe that Redbridge / Visions Ecologist Frances Castro was involved in this decision to create the seasonal car park but believe at this late date he should be consulted by yourselves on the way forward.

Please give me a full reply as soon as possible,

Chris Gannaway
Borough Rep for London Wildlife Trust.

LP 39 Implementation 1
