Silt killing our small river
Large amounts of silt is flowing through Seven Kings water at the moment.
Several reports have been sent in from concerned local residents and the EA has been notified.

We have recently been informed that Redbridge have investigated and will work with the EA to see if any funding is available to install silt traps as an interim measure. We hope that ways to clear the existing silt allowing the gravel river bed to recover will also be considered.

Our thanks to Redbridge and those involved for acting quickly.
The water at Fairlop Waters Country Park is currently clear.
