We are holding a meeting to discuss the proposed planning application from Bellway Homes to ‘cap’ the contaminated land at Billet Road and then to build homes. Local residents are invited to discuss their legitmate concerns.

Background
The Billet Road site is a London Borough of Redbridge ‘Opportunity Site’. Its Eastern boundary is on the border with London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.
Bellway Homes have acquired 2 parcels of land, A and B shown below. Both parcels are contaminated landfill sites.
Contamination Capping
Bellway Homes are proposing to ‘cap’ the landfill. A planning application is due within the next couple of weeks.
Indicative Programe – lorry movements
Bellway Homes anticipate the number of lorry movements is between 60 to 100 lorries for each working day. The capping works will take 3 years.
