Gravel Extraction – Haul Road crossing point
Now that the extraction has re-started the rutting of the Equestrian Centre path crossing has also started.

This needs monitoring, scraping is a partial solution as well as considering a firmer base to the crossing point for the long term.
A discussion is needed about the drainage ditch that also crosses the haul road at this point as it may be part of the problem, it is heavily silted up in the country park and Equestrian Centre land such that water in the haul road pipe is contained which may case the distinct dip in the haul road at the west side of the crossing point.

There is a need to clear both sides so that there is flow to the west/east ditch to Seven Kings Water in the country park. As well as dealing with the pigmy weed problem there.
This will all be raised at the Gravel Meeting in a week’s time but in the meantime sturdy boots and a good sense of balance is needed for all those attempting to use the crossing point!
