Area D/Fairlop Quarry now ‘Aldborough Hall Nature Reserve’
In March 2022 it was noted that Area D / Fairlop Quarry would be formally known as Aldborough Hall Nature Reserve, named by and in acknowledgement of the significant contribution made by Ron Jeffries, Chair of Aldborough Hatch Defence Association, to the local area. The nature reserve provides an opportunity to improve biodiversity and to reflect the rich ecological credentials.
The name has now been rubber stamped and a new sign requested!
Ron cared very much about the local heritage of Aldborough Hatch, he and the rest of us relate to the area’s history where Aldborough Hall and Farm were an important part of the community. Its great that the Council now agree with us.
